About This Housing Partnership, Inc.

This housing counseling agency is approved by HUD and provides assistance for mortgage delinquency and default resolution counseling, pre-purchase counseling, non-delinquency post-purchase workshops for homeowners, and pre-purchase homebuyer education workshops. The agency offers services in Creole, English, and Spanish. Housing Partnership has developed various housing resources in collaboration with partners to improve the lives of supportive housing clients. These resources include the Celtic Apartments, which has eight two-bedroom units in Lake Worth that were acquired and rehabbed through RTC and HOME funds. St. Charles Place is the first and only HUD 811 project in PBC, with 11 one-bedroom units in West Palm, funded by a $1.3 million HUD grant. Rent is 30% of income. Recovery Village is a six-unit residence in West Palm Beach for formerly homeless single mothers and their children. Crossroads comprises four townhomes that provide independent living opportunities for young adults transitioning out of foster care and/or the children's mental health system. Partners for Change Residential Program is a 24-bed short-term transitional facility that assists adults with substance abuse and mental health issues to successfully re-enter the community. The program is operated in partnership with the Center for Family Services and follows the Client-Directed Outcome Informed (CDOI) approach. Mangonia Residence is a 192-unit, one-bedroom unit in West Palm that is restricted to residents over 62 and persons with disabilities. Clipper Cove is a 340-unit mixed-income development in Boynton Beach that includes amenities such as pools and tennis courts. Housing Partnership also works with multiple landlords in the community, often pairing compatible roommates to share a two-bedroom unit to achieve affordability.

How to apply

Public housing is a form of housing tenure in which the property is usually owned by a government authority, either central or local. The federal Housing and Urban Development (HUD) department addressed concerns of distressed properties and blighted superblocks with revitalization and funding projects for the renewal of public housing to decrease its density and allow for tenants with mixed income levels.
