NVCH is a private non-profit 501(c)(3) agency that focuses on creating affordable housing for low and moderate income residents in Napa County. The organization was formed through a merger between two local housing non-profits, Housing Association for Napa Development and Napa Valley Family Homes, which contributed over 40 years of experience and achievements in the low income housing sector.
As a premier developer and provider of affordable housing in the Napa Valley for four decades, NVCH develops well-designed and affordable housing for low and moderate income residents. The agency purchases existing properties and renovates them, plans and builds new housing, and manages affordable rental units. The management portfolio includes 17 properties housing over 1,700 residents, including 650 children and 200 seniors.
The Resident Services Program is also available to empower residents to live better lives by providing access to health care, educational services, job training, and other social services.
How to apply
Public housing is a form of housing tenure in which the property is usually owned by a government
authority, either central or local. The federal Housing and Urban Development (HUD) department
addressed concerns of distressed properties and blighted superblocks with revitalization and funding
projects for the renewal of public housing to decrease its density and allow for tenants with mixed
income levels.
