Our organization strives to assist low-income and/or homeless families or individuals in finding secure and energy-efficient housing. Our office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:30 in the morning until 4:00 in the afternoon, and on Fridays from 8:30 to 3:00. We believe that having a safe place to call home is essential, and our four housing strategies are designed to meet the needs of families in South Carolina.
We offer a variety of rental housing options that are affordable and of high quality. Our homes range from one to three bedrooms and include single-family homes, stacked duplexes, and townhomes. We have income guidelines for applicants, and those with a total household income at or below 80% of the area median income are eligible to apply. Rents typically range from $500 to $625 per month.
How to apply
Public housing is a form of housing tenure in which the property is usually owned by a government
authority, either central or local. The federal Housing and Urban Development (HUD) department
addressed concerns of distressed properties and blighted superblocks with revitalization and funding
projects for the renewal of public housing to decrease its density and allow for tenants with mixed
income levels.
