About This Middletowne Apartments

Middletowne Apartments is a family complex with 100 units located in the Orange Park community, just outside of Jacksonville, Florida. This complex is situated in an attractive area that resembles single-family home living but in an apartment setting. However, when POAH acquired Middletowne Apartments, poor management in a difficult market resulted in operating deficiencies and critical maintenance needs that were deferred. Despite the fact that the Jacksonville market had limited opportunities for recapitalization, POAH utilized its creative financing approach to solve this issue. They were able to use the proceeds from another transaction financed at the same time to cover the deferred maintenance needs. In 2009, the focus of renovations was on major building systems, exterior walkways, new roofs, heating and air conditioning systems, and new plumbing in the bathrooms and kitchens. Since the rehabilitation, the property has been managed attentively and proactively, which has stabilized the occupancy and kept pace with the physical needs of the complex. Middletowne Apartments offers a community center, picnic pavilion, two playgrounds, and a variety of social activities. The complex is also conveniently located near shopping centers, service providers, and public transportation. It is worth noting that this apartment complex accepts HUD subsidies. If you qualify for low income housing and there are available apartments, the rent is based on 30% of your Adjusted Gross Income. To find out more details, please call the property management for more information. They offer one, two, and three-bedroom apartments.

How to apply

Public housing is a form of housing tenure in which the property is usually owned by a government authority, either central or local. The federal Housing and Urban Development (HUD) department addressed concerns of distressed properties and blighted superblocks with revitalization and funding projects for the renewal of public housing to decrease its density and allow for tenants with mixed income levels.
