About This Community Connections Of Jacksonville

Community Connections aims to empower homeless and low income families in achieving self-sufficiency and becoming productive members of their communities. Through its housing programs, the organization serves around 600 women, children and families in NE Florida every year. These programs offer housing, support and wrap around services to those who are in need, especially those who are experiencing poverty or domestic violence. Residents of these programs receive assistance from case managers and counselors in improving their financial and emotional self-sufficiency. Moreover, job training services are also provided to equip them with new skills that can help them secure employment opportunities and eventually find permanent housing. The housing programs offered by Community Connections include The Florence N. Davis Center for Women & Children, Nia Terrace Transitional Program, The Northeast Florida Housing Program, and First Coast Beyond Shelter.
