About This Carrfour Supportive Housing
Carrfour, a non-profit organization established in 1993 by the Homeless Committee of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, aims to enhance the self-sufficiency of previously homeless individuals in Miami-Dade County and other Floridian cities by offering permanent housing and supportive services under joint ventures with various non-profit organizations. To access available resources in the community, individuals who are homeless or on the verge of being homeless should contact the Homeless Helpline of Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust at 1-877-994-4357. The Helpline acts as a "front door" and provides a comprehensive assessment of the needs and vulnerabilities of homeless people, directing them towards immediate assistance and services. Those who are not homeless but require affordable housing and meet certain criteria can apply for placement on the waiting list for housing. To be eligible, the applicant must be able to live independently and harmoniously within the housing community, agree to participate in the supportive services, qualify as homeless under the U.S. HUD definition, meet the project income requirement, pass a drug screening, agree to remain drug-free, and have a disability to apply for certain communities. Please note that most apartments have waiting lists, and applicants should contact the relevant authorities directly at the provided number to ascertain if they qualify and can apply to live there.
