About This Hillcrest Villas Thousand Oaks
Hillcrest Villas is a distinctive complex of 60 units that offers affordable housing. It was created with the help of multiple sources of funding, including the City of Thousand Oaks, the State of California, the County of Ventura, and U.S. Bank. Hillcrest Villas aims to provide high-quality housing that is affordable for people who need it the most in our community. This includes individuals and families who are extremely low-income, have a disability, and/or were previously homeless. All units have income and rent restrictions, and 30 of the units are reserved for people who were previously homeless, while 15 of these units are specifically for people who were homeless and have a disability.

authority, either central or local. The federal Housing and Urban Development (HUD) department
addressed concerns of distressed properties and blighted superblocks with revitalization and funding
projects for the renewal of public housing to decrease its density and allow for tenants with mixed
income levels.
