About This Housing Authority of Florence SC
Our main goal at the Housing Authority of Florence is to ensure that everyone has access to affordable housing. Through our Project Based Management approach, we are able to provide property management services that cater to the unique needs of each property, utilizing the resources available to us. Our commitment to providing quality, affordable housing in healthy neighborhoods is achieved through partnerships with our residents and other groups, ultimately fostering neighborhood redevelopment and opportunities for those we serve to achieve self-sufficiency. As an agency funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), we administer various programs such as Section 8 and Public Housing Programs, as well as 202, 515 and Tax Credit Property. In addition to our mission, we take pride in our contribution to the City of Florence by employing approximately 65 individuals and infusing over 9.6 million dollars annually into the local economy through payroll, development of new housing, and payments in lieu of taxes.
