Fayette County Community Action Agency provides assistance to low income individuals seeking affordable housing. They offer several programs to aid with housing needs such as the Homelessness Prevention and rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP), which provides short-term financial assistance for rent, security, arrears, and other related expenses for those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. The Pa Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) is another program designed to assist individuals who are unable to make mortgage payments through no fault of their own. The Rental/Mortgage Assistance Program is also available to provide financial aid for rent or mortgages to avoid eviction.
