About This Luther Community Apartments
The Luther Community is a three-story apartment complex located in Bellefontaine, Ohio that caters to seniors aged 62 and above and/or those with mobility issues with lower incomes. The complex has thirty-four studio and one-bedroom apartments, as well as a one-bedroom deluxe apartment. Rent is determined by the guidelines set by the Department of Housing and Urban Development and is based on the resident's income level, age, and disability. Eligible tenants pay only 30% of their adjusted gross income to cover rent and some utilities, with the exception of cable TV, Internet, and phone. The Luther Community apartments are well-maintained and include appliances, carpeting, and all utilities except for cable TV, Internet, and phone. Additional amenities include handicap accessible entryways, common areas for social, recreational, and craft activities, on-site coin-operated laundry facilities, and individually-controlled heating and cooling units in each apartment. The complex also has attractive grounds in a residential neighborhood near the fairgrounds, transportation services, and 24/7 on-call emergency maintenance. The Luther Community also provides a Service Coordinator who assists in making referrals and provides residents with resources for aging and health care services. They also offer education about health and wellness, as well as connect residents with volunteer opportunities and community engagement activities. This apartment complex accepts HUD subsidies for those who qualify for low-income housing. If available apartments meet the requirements, rent is based on 30% of the resident's adjusted gross income.
