About This Martin Luther Community
The Martin Luther Community is an apartment complex situated in west Dayton, Ohio, catering to individuals aged 62 and above, and those with mobility impairments, who have lower incomes. The complex offers forty-nine studio and one-bedroom apartments, as well as 1 two-bedroom apartment. Rent is determined according to the Department of Housing and Urban Development's income level, age, and disability guidelines, with eligible residents paying only 30% of their adjusted gross income towards rent and select utilities. A number of amenities are available, including handicap accessible entryways, common areas for social, recreational, and craft activities, coin-operated laundry facilities, and access to transportation services. Additionally, the complex offers 24/7 on-call emergency maintenance and individually controlled heating and cooling units in each apartment. The Martin Luther Community also employs a Service Coordinator who provides residents with referrals and resources for aging and health care services within the surrounding community. Service Coordinators also offer education on health and wellness, as well as opportunities for community engagement and volunteerism.
