Eskaton Jefferson Manor is a senior community situated on well-maintained grounds featuring walking paths, park benches, a horseshoe pit and evening lighting. The staff is compassionate and dedicated to fostering a sense of friendship and community while also respecting the residents' privacy and independence. The community is subsidized by HUD and provides affordable housing to seniors aged 62 and over, as well as mobility-impaired adults over 18 years. Prospective residents must meet income criteria, and a non-smoking policy is strictly enforced. Eskaton Jefferson Manor is managed by Eskaton, a non-profit organization that has been serving Northern California communities since 1968. Their mission is to improve seniors' quality of life through innovative health, housing, and social services. Located in South Sacramento, the community is just a short drive from downtown and is conveniently located near banks, medical services, shopping, public library, neighborhood community center, public parks, and public transportation. With 103 one-bedroom units, including 10 designed for mobility-impaired residents, Eskaton Jefferson Manor is an accessible and inclusive community. The community also provides a wheelchair-accessible mini-bus and offers weekly trips to local stores and medical appointments at no charge.
