About This Morris County Housing Authority
The Housing Authority of Morris County manages a total of seven housing complexes, which consist of 423 units of Public Housing, Section 8/515 Housing, and Congregate Housing. In addition to managing these complexes, the Housing Authority is responsible for overseeing the Housing Choice Voucher Program, the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program, and the Housing Choice Voucher Home Ownership Program. The family complexes, which comprise 129 units, are located in Denville, Randolph, and Rockaway. Meanwhile, the senior complexes, consisting of 294 units, are situated in Morris Township, Randolph, and Rockaway. There are also 19 Congregate housing units in Morris Township. The Housing Choice Voucher Program, also known as the Section 8 program, offers affordable housing to participants in the private market through rent subsidies. Currently, there are 634 families residing in Section 8 housing choice vouchers. The Housing Choice Voucher Home Ownership Program is designed to help Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher participants and FSS participants become homeowners. Interested parties are encouraged to contact the housing office for additional information and eligibility criteria.
