Luther Community Manor in Alpena, Michigan offers affordable senior living in a serene and natural environment on a seven-acre property. Our community features 65 one-bedroom apartments that are designed for senior accessibility and come with a variety of amenities to make life comfortable. According to HUD regulations, residents pay only 30 percent of their adjusted monthly income as rent, which includes heat, water, snow removal, and trash pickup. Electricity is billed separately to the resident. At Luther Community Manor, residents enjoy an active lifestyle with a wide range of activities and amenities available. There are exercise classes, wildlife viewing, planting in the community's large garden, movie nights, card gamess, and more. The community also has a computer lab, a meeting and craft room, an exercise room with a pool table, and an outdoor patio with swings. Apartment amenities include modern kitchen appliances, vinyl flooring in the kitchen and bathroom, individual thermostat controls, smoke detectors, and spacious closets with additional storage. Rent is subsidized by HUD, and applicants must be 62 years or older or have impaired mobility and meet HUD's income guidelines.
