About This City of Carrollton Housing Authority
The City of Carrollton Housing Authority manages programs such as Low Rent Public Housing and the Housing Choice Voucher Program - Section 8 to provide assistance to those with low income. Currently, the Authority oversees 279 Public Housing Rentals and 109 HCV - Section 8 Vouchers as well as 42 Tenant Protection Vouchers. Eligibility guidelines for these programs are based on income and set by HUD. Due to the high demand for housing assistance, there may be a waiting list for vouchers or rentals which may temporarily close to new applicants. To obtain more information regarding eligibility requirements, availability of vouchers or rentals, and the status of any waiting lists, please contact the Housing Authority directly during their office hours of Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm.
