The Georgia Department of Community Affairs offers Downpayment Assistance to qualifying Georgia residents who are buying a home in the state. This program provides financial aid for down payments or closing costs. Additionally, we offer referrals and information about other financial assistance programs that can be accessed in all Georgia counties. To support our clients in achieving their personal goals, EADC provides one-on-one counseling with certified housing counselors. Our team helps clients create plans to overcome barriers and provides ongoing support and information. Public housing is a form of housing tenure in which the property is usually owned by a government
authority, either central or local. The federal Housing and Urban Development (HUD) department
